OREANDA-NEWS Amazon.com Inc. invests $10 billion in expanding the infrastructure of data centers in North Carolina to support AI and cloud technologies.

This will create 500 new jobs for highly qualified professionals and support the creation of thousands more jobs in the supply chains of Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers, the company said.

"Development is generative and contributes to increased demand for advanced cloud infrastructure and computing power, and our investments will support the future of AI technologies," Amazon believes.

Since 2010, the company has invested $12 billion in North Carolina, contributing $13.1 billion to the state's GDP and supporting about 24,000 jobs.
