OREANDA-NEWS. On August 31 and September 02, 2016 UniCredit Bank presents first contactless ATMs in Odesa and Dnipro. The ATMs with a special contactless device were installed at the bank’s branches by the addresses: 6 Oleshi Street, Odesa, and 109A Yavornytskoho Avenue, Dnipro.

The new ATM enables easier and safer non-cash transactions for all holders of MasterCard contactless payment cards. All one needs to do is bring a contactless card or device close to the reading unit of the ATM and choose the transaction. The ATM is also available for holders of cards equipped with magnetic stripe and chip.

"Contactless ATM is an absolute innovation for the Ukrainian market. Now there are only five contactless ATMs in Ukraine. The first one was presented in Lviv in June, in August we installed two innovative devices in Kyiv and one in Odesa. The fourth city where customers can withdraw funds in several seconds is Dnipro,” Head of Terminal Network Development at UniCredit Bank Leonid Pohrebnyi mentioned. “According to the statistics, our customers highly appreciate the advantages of the new technology. Firstly, it is obviously that owners of contactless payment cards use them 3 times oftener than ordinary cards’ holders. Secondly, our first ATM in Lviv is extremely popular among our customers as well as tourists and other banks’ clients. Such showings encourage us to develop contactless technology further. As soon as next week we are to present new ATM in Kharkiv."
