OREANDA-NEWS. On 8 October, VTB presented a gala concert with the stars of the Bolshoi Theatre at the annual autumn meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Washington.

The event took place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and featured the Bolshoi prima Svetlana Zakharova and other lead dancers. Guests watched scenes from Romeo and Juliet, The Talisman, The Flames of Paris, Taras Bulba and other ballets directed by modern choreographers. Renowned Russian artist Pavel Kaplevich also designed unique media stage sets especially for the event.

The gala was attended by more than 1100 guests, including representatives from the World Bank, the IMF, Central Bank heads and finance ministers of various countries, representatives of the world’s largest banks, and many others. VTB has traditionally been involved in sponsoring concerts featuring Russian performers at major international economic forums.
