Forum of Creative industries should attract a billion rubles

OREANDA-NEWS The second international forum of creative industries in Yakutsk should attract at least 1 billion rubles to the economy of the Far East, this will be the main outcome of the event, the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, told reporters.
About 6,000 participants from nine countries are expected at the II International Forum of Creative Industries "Created in the Far East. From creativity to economics", which takes place from May 29 to 31 in Yakutsk. The events of the forum began in the creative cluster "Labor Quarter".
As Nikolayev noted, in addition to further developing the raw materials economy, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) places serious emphasis on developing the creative economy. The number of people employed in this area in the region has exceeded 45 thousand people, by 2030, according to the decree of the head of the republic, this figure should grow to 70 thousand people. He specified that among the main areas of the region's creative economy are information technology, film production, animation, and fashion.
"We already have good results today... For example, the fees of the Yakut cinema for the first 4.5 months of this year have already exceeded all fees for 2025. And they were record-breaking - over 150 million rubles. Now we are approaching almost 200 million rubles. We believe that this forum is not only a Yakut forum, it is a Far Eastern forum. Representatives of 35 regions have arrived, and a number of agreements will be signed. Well, we believe that the main outcome of the forum should be to attract at least 1 billion rubles to the creative economy of the Far East. In particular, in Yakutia," the head of the republic emphasized.
It is planned to sign a number of cooperation agreements between subjects of creative industries at the Forum. One of the first agreements signed on Thursday was between the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and JSC Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. The document was signed by the head of the region and the General director of the KRDV Nikolay Zapryagaev.
In 2019, Yakutia was the first country in Russia to approve a concept for the development of creative industries.
