OREANDA-NEWS  Sberbank's rapid development guarantees the stability and reliability of the entire financial banking system of the Russian Federation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with Sberbank CEO German Gref.

During the meeting, Putin and Gref discussed the results of the company's work over the past year and its current activities. In particular, the head of Sberbank said that the company's net profit increased by about 6% last year, and the deposit base continues to grow. Gref also spoke about the installation of 1.2 million terminals for payment using biometrics and the development of artificial intelligence models.

"The fact that Sberbank is developing at such a pace guarantees the stability and reliability of our entire financial banking system. This is very important," Putin said.
