OREANDA-NEWS  Sber has prepared services for working with the digital ruble in accordance with the standards of the Bank of Russia. From Tuesday, customers can open an account, transfer and pay for purchases and services with them, the bank's press service reports.

The new form of the national currency complements cash and non–cash money - the client chooses which form is more convenient for him to use.

You can open a digital ruble account at Sberbank Online. At the first stage, the service will be available on devices with the Android operating system with a version of the mobile application not lower than 17.11. Later, the ability to use the service will appear on iOS.

Digital rubles can be used to pay for purchases and services both at physical retail outlets and on online store websites. To accept payment, the partner must have a connected digital ruble account and update the integration with Sberbank to work with the new payment method.

Bank cards, phone number transfers, cash and regular non-cash payments will continue to work as before. In addition, you can contact the Sber contact center for advice.

The digital ruble account is maintained on the Bank of Russia platform, and Sberbank provides customers with access to the service through Sberbank Online. Work with the new form of money is organized in compliance with the requirements of the Bank of Russia for information protection, reliability of operations and anti-fraud.
Legal entities will also be able to open an account in the Sberbank online banking.
