OREANDA-NEWS  The BRICS souvenir banknote was issued in three denominations - 50, 100 and 200 conventional units, Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, told RIA Novosti.

The "BRICS banknote" was first noticed at the Kazan summit in October last year: Russian President Vladimir Putin, after the conclusion of the extended meeting, left the hall with a certain bill in his hands, which he then showed to the ministers with a smile and gave to the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina. The press secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, then commented that it was "one of our people, either from the Chamber of Commerce or someone else, who printed such quasi-money."
