OREANDA-NEWS The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, signed a decree on the strategic reserve of bitcoin. This is reported by the Reuters news agency.

As Trump's science and technology adviser, businessman David Sachs, clarified on his page on the social network X, the United States will not sell bitcoins from the strategic reserve.

"The United States will not sell bitcoins deposited in the reserve. They will be stored as a means of saving. The reserve is a kind of digital Fort Knox for cryptocurrency, which is often referred to as "digital gold," he said.

Earlier, David Sachs, whom Donald Trump appointed the "crypto king" of his administration, said that the American authorities had lost billions of dollars. He estimated that over the past 10 years, the United States authorities have sold 195,000 bitcoins.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on Trump's policy, noted that he has his own ideas about "what is good and what is bad, including in gender policy" and other issues. The Russian leader said that he and Trump had always had a businesslike and trusting relationship.
