OREANDA-NEWS  Russian mixed martial arts fighter Alexander Emelianenko announced his desire to hold a boxing match with the former captain of the Russian national team and Zenit Artem Dzyuba.

"He has a great opportunity to challenge me to a fight and somehow prove himself in boxing. If they offer to fight with him, I will agree. Well, for all the fans who believed in the players, but they did not live up to their hopes – he will get a good uppercut," Emelianenko said on his YouTube channel.
In the next match, Alexander Emelianenko should meet with the head of the pop-MMA promotion Arena Sergey Arkaev.

41-year-old Emelianenko lost to Vyacheslav Datsik by knockout in the first round in September of this year as part of the Hardcore Boxing tournament. Emelianenko held his last fight under the rules of MMA in November 2021 at the UFC Fight Nights 106 tournament, losing to Marcio Santos by submission (strangulation with a hand triangle) in the first round. He has 28 wins and nine losses to his credit.
