OREANDA-NEWS Another international federation has returned Russians to the tournaments. The decision to allow Russian athletes in a neutral status is reported on the website of the International Climbing Federation (World Climbing).

"The Executive Board of World Climbing allows athletes and team representatives with Russian and Belarusian passports to participate in international competitions, subject to the criteria of neutral athletes," the organization said in a statement.

In the near future, World Climbing plans to hold a world championship in long-distance team racing. The competition will be held from March 11 to March 14 in France, on Mount Pierre Menta.

Athletes from Russia and Belarus have not participated in international climbing competitions since March 2022. Before the Olympics in Paris, Russian rock climbers announced their refusal to participate in the tournament in a neutral status.
