OREANDA-NEWS. The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) will transfer about 150 million US dollars to national federations as part of its support in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported on the official website of the organization.

It is known that each of the 211 national football associations will receive a minimum of 500 thousand dollars. Other payments for 2019 and 2020 are also possible.

“The pandemic has caused unprecedented challenges for the entire football community and, as the world governing body, it is FIFA’s duty to be there and support the ones that are facing acute needs,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.

Due to the pandemic, most football tournaments are interrupted. European Championship and America’s Cup are postponed to 2021. All friendly matches of national teams are canceled.
