OREANDA-NEWS  Russian tennis player 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva defeated Belarusian Marina Sobolenko in the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournament Roland Garros.

The meeting ended with a score 6:7 (5:7), 6:4, 6:4 in favor of Andreeva, who is ranked 38th in the world ranking. Sobolenko is the second racket of the world.

Andreeva reached the semifinals of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in her career. Her opponent in the fight to reach the final will be the 15th racket of the world, Italian Yasmin Paolini.
