OREANDA-NEWS. The women's singles tournament at the World Figure Skating Championships, which kicks off this week in the Swedish capital, could be one of the most technically challenging women in history. As experts expect, the contestants can show many difficult elements.

As it was reported on the website of the International Skating Union (ISU), Russian figure skater Alexandra Trusova plans to perform the most difficult free program, in which three quadruple jumps are declared: lutz, sheepskin coat and sheepskin coat in a bunch in triple jumps. However, according to Sports.Ru, the Russian figure skater intends to do without the triple axel in the short program.

The World Figure Skating Championships will take place on March 24-27. Representation quotas for the Olympic Games 2022 will be played at the tournament. In women's single skating, Russia will be represented by Alexandra Trusova, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Anna Shcherbakova.

According to experts, Russian women Alexandra Trusova, Anna Shcherbakova and Japanese woman Rika Kihira will compete for gold in Stockholm.

As follows from the application on the ISU website, Shcherbakova has one quadruple jump in the free program. Tuktamysheva announced two triple jumps.
