OREANDA-NEWS  The press service of the Ministry of Sports of Belarus said that the horse Carlo Grande, on which the Belarusian rider Alexander Zelenko competes, has been withdrawn from the Olympic Games because of veterinary reasons.

What exactly is wrong with the horse is not specified.

On Monday, Zelenko on Carlo Grande was supposed to perform in the final of equestrian triathlon (overcoming obstacles). The day before, they competed in two other disciplines: in dressage riding, the Belarusian rider took 12th place among 42 pairs, in cross-country he was on the 44th line of the final protocol.

In the horce trial from Belarus, Alexander Fominov was also supposed to perform. A few days before the start of the Olympic tournament, it turned out that his horse Martini was seriously ill. The Belarusian withdrew himself from the Olympics without taking part in any competition.

The national team of Belarus at the 2020 Games in Tokyo has so far won only two awards. Ivan Litvinovich took gold in trampoline jumping, and Maxim Nedosekov won bronze in high jump.
