OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2016. Today the United States Department of Labor released a new Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) outlining updated guidance for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC). Highlights in the TEGL include:
  • An extension of the transition relief period for all WOTC categories to August 31, 2016 (with forms due to State Workforce Agencies by September 29, 2016)
  • Approval to use ETA (Employment & Training Administration) forms that had been revised in May, 2016 (ETA Forms 9058, 9061, 9062, 9063, and 9065)
  • Issuance of a new Self Attestation Form (SAF) to be submitted as supporting documentation for the new Qualified Long-term Unemployment Recipient target group
  • Guidance to State Workforce Agencies on confirming eligibility for employees that qualify for the new Qualified Long-term Unemployment Recipient target group
