The criminal case was initiated under Article 205.2 ("Public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, in 2023, a 24-year-old resident of the Altai Territory repeatedly posted comments on the Internet that called for the violent overthrow of power in Russia. FSB officers identified and suppressed his activities.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian court assessed the woman's posts on social networks for six years in prison.
