OREANDA-NEWS  In the Moscow Zoo, an unknown man tried to poison lynxes and leopards. This was announced by the general director of the zoo Svetlana Akulova in her Telegram channel.

It is noted that the attacker purposefully threw pills into the enclosure with the animals. Zoo staff promptly noticed the foreign objects and took them away. The man was caught on surveillance cameras, they are looking for him.

"This is not an accident, not a prank — this is a deliberate, cold-blooded attempt on the lives of animals under our protection. We will do everything possible to ensure that the perpetrator is found and brought to justice," Akulova stressed.

According to her, the zoo is currently conducting an additional inspection of the enclosures. The pills have been sent for examination.
