OREANDA-NEWS Women in Russia are more actively engaged in entrepreneurial activity: in 2025, almost half a million women became individual entrepreneurs, according to data from the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia, reviewed by RIA Novosti.

According to the data provided, 483,000 women became individual entrepreneurs last year, while 433,000 Russians opened a business a year ago. Thus, during the year, women's interest in running their own business increased by 11.5%.

At the same time, women became founders of almost 56,000 companies last year, compared to 69.9 thousand a year earlier. The number of female managers of new businesses has also decreased, to about 60,000 from more than 63,000 a year earlier.
