OREANDA-NEWS Chelyabinsk was awarded the status of cultural capital in 2027. This is reported by the local portal "Good News".
It is known that the jury awarded the city such a status in the Moscow national center "Russia". At the first stage, the South Ural capital was among the eight finalists. Vologda, Kaluga, Novosibirsk, Ryazan, Sochi, Stavropol and Ulyanovsk competed with her to become the cultural capital.

"The Chelyabinsk region is a region of absolute opportunities. A place where everyone can realize their potential. The land of 3,000 lakes, taiga forests and high mountains. Earlier it was reported that a lynx was found stuck in barbed wire in an industrial zone in the vicinity of Chelyabinsk. After a call from eyewitnesses, specialists from the city's rescue service, the Ministry of Ecology, and zoo staff decided to use a tranquilizer to put the lynx to sleep and safely release it from its steel bonds.
