OREANDA-NEWS The Chinese company AgiBot intends to create a production facility for humanoid robots in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry reported on Monday.

"As part of the partnership, AgiBot plans to create a joint venture in Kazakhstan for the production and implementation of robots and solutions in the field of artificial intelligence," the agency said in a statement.

The Ministry of Finance added that AgiBot, founded in February 2023, specializes in the development and production of general-purpose humanoid robots. AgiBot is actively developing technologies in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics, creating robots for a wide range of applications, from industry to everyday tasks. In December 2024, the number of robots produced at AgiBot's Shanghai facility reached 1,000 units.

The ministry clarified that Kazakhstan is considered as the first country in the region to localize production and further export developments. As part of the partnership, AgiBot, together with the Kazakh Ministry of Finance, is expected to launch a "data factory" for training robots and robotic systems.
