OREANDA-NEWS  Among the victims of the crash of the AN-26 multipurpose transport aircraft in Crimea, there are military personnel from the Murmansk region. Details about this appeared from the governor of the region Andrey Chibis in Telegram.

"This tragedy has caused special pain in our hearts. Among the dead are our soldiers from the North Sea, people of honor, duty and courage," he said, without specifying who he meant — crew members or passengers.

Chibis offered condolences to the families of the victims of the disaster, including on behalf of residents of the Murmansk region. "We share the bitterness of loss with our relatives and friends. We grieve with you," the official wrote.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the crash of AN AN-26 military transport aircraft in Crimea on the night of April 1. There were 30 people on board — 7 crew members and 23 passengers. There are no survivors among them.

Previously, the cause of the crash could have been a technical malfunction that caused the plane to crash into a rock. A special commission will find out the circumstances of the disaster.
