OREANDA-NEWS Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg have approved a law on the introduction of electronic certificates for visiting museums for the older generation of Petersburgers, according to which 1.5 thousand rubles will be transferred annually to each resident of the "silver age" for these purposes, the city parliament reported.

"In general, a law has been passed on the introduction of electronic certificates for visiting museums for the older generation of Petersburgers. To do this, 1.5 thousand rubles will be transferred annually from the city budget to each resident of the "silver age"," the message says.

It is noted that it will be possible to use the money with the help of a "Single St. Petersburg card" and only to purchase tickets to museums.

It is planned that not only city museums, but also at least 10 institutions of federal subordination, including the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, and the Russian Ethnographic Museum, will join this program.

According to the explanatory note, the adopted law is aimed at increasing the vital activity of citizens who have reached the age of 60 and 55 (for men and women, respectively) and have a place of residence in St. Petersburg. The number of residents of the "silver age" in St. Petersburg is more than 1.463 million people.

Earlier it was reported that an electronic certificate for visiting museums for the older generation of Petersburgers is planned to be introduced in the spring of 2025.
