Glavprodukt became the property of the Russian Federation

OREANDA-NEWS Glavprodukt became the property of the Russian Federation in the person of the Federal Property Management Agency.
The entry that the state is the owner of the main legal entity of the holding, Promselkhozinvest LLC, appeared in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on July 28.
As reported, on July 11, the Moscow Arbitration Court granted the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office against the American Universal Beverage Company, which owned Glavprodukt, and its shareholder Leonid Smirnov on the conversion of the holding's main assets to state revenue.
The claim of the Prosecutor General's Office was filed in early March 2025. In May, its consideration was transferred to a closed mode.
As stated in the court's materials, the statement of claim is aimed at "protecting public interests in the field of ensuring the economic sovereignty of the country, invalidating (void) transactions, and collecting funds in favor of the Russian Federation."
According to the Vedomosti newspaper, the Prosecutor General's Office demanded that key companies of the group be withdrawn to state revenue and accused Smirnov of withdrawing almost 1.4 billion rubles to accounts with the American bank JPMorgan Chase and thereby ignoring time restrictions designed to block capital outflow. At the same time, for external legalization, the transfers were fragmented and did not exceed 10 million rubles, and were also issued in the form of obligations to pay profits to companies controlled by Glavproduct Group.
In October 2024, the holding's assets were transferred to the interim management of the Federal Property Management Agency by presidential decree.
Glavproduct was founded in 1999. The group estimates its share in the Russian canned meat market at about 10%, dairy - about 7%, fish - up to 3%.
