OREANDA-NEWS  Horse sales have increased sharply in Russia due to the fuel situation. This is reported by Mash on Telegram.

As the breeders told the channel, in the last month alone, seven or eight horses were bought or booked from some, although previously one horse could wait for the owner for two or three months.

The increase in horse sales was explained by the fact that it turned out to be cheaper to keep an animal in many villages than constantly refueling SUVs like UAZ or Niva.

Today, prices for horses range from 100 to 200 thousand rubles, depending on age, breed and training. The maintenance of a horse costs tens of thousands of rubles. As Mash calculated, hooves are cleaned about once every six weeks — the service costs 3 thousand rubles, horseshoes are changed every two months for 1 thousand rubles, the cost of hay is 2-3 thousand rubles, fertilizing is 5 thousand rubles. Veterinary services can cost from 6 thousand rubles per year.

Earlier, the Russian government allowed the turnover of gasoline and diesel that meet Euro-3 standards by the end of 2026. The measure was called reasonable in the current conditions.
