OREANDA-NEWS  In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, it was proposed to divide migrant children into two categories. Such an initiative was made by the regional children's Ombudsman Olga Miroshnikova, the Krasnoyarsk News Feed reports.

The reason for the discussion in the Legislative Assembly of the region was the results of testing of foreign children, according to which a third of the children could not cope with the Russian language proficiency test.

In this regard, the Ombudsman proposed separating migrant children from repatriate children. It is not specified by what criterion the division is supposed to be carried out. Perhaps one of them will be the nationality of the parents.

Some deputies of the Legislative Assembly did not support the initiative, calling it segregation, the newspaper notes.

Testing for migrant children before entering Russian schools was introduced in 2025. The first results appeared in the spring, when in St. Petersburg none of the foreign children admitted to the exam could complete the task.
