Interior Ministry: entry to Russia is closed for 197,000 foreigners who violated the law

OREANDA-NEWS Entry and exit to Russia is closed to 197,000 foreigners who have violated the law, said Andrei Kikot, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, Head of the Service for Citizenship and Registration of Foreign Citizens of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Late the night before, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Kikot. The meeting took place on the eve of the Day of Migration Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, celebrated on September 11.
"In terms of preventive work, our units have blocked the entry of about 200,000, to be precise, 197,000 foreigners who have committed and violated the law here, we have restricted entry for a certain amount of time," Kikot reported to Putin.
