OREANDA-NEWS  Juvenile delinquency has increased by almost 30 percent. This was stated by the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, in an interview with Vedomosti.

According to him, in the first quarter of 2025, more than 5,900 reports of crimes committed by minors were received, which is 27.5 percent more than in the same period last year. At the same time, more than 2.2 thousand cases were sent to court, most of them related to theft and drug trafficking.

The Republics of Karelia and Komi, as well as the Novgorod Region, account for a large proportion of juvenile delinquency. The lowest rates are recorded in Moscow and Chechnya.
