OREANDA-NEWS Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during talks with Mozambican Foreign Minister Maria Lukas, discussed the issue of reforming the UN Security Council, as well as the situation around Ukraine and the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"A thorough exchange of views was held on key issues on the global and African agenda, with a focus on the reform of the UN Security Council, the situation around Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East," the statement said.

The Ministers confirmed the commitment of Moscow and Maputo to deepen a trust-based political dialogue, as well as to coordinate actions in addressing pressing international and regional issues within the framework of the United Nations and other multilateral platforms.
