"To improve the service provided to citizens, the Post Office will improve the opening hours of its branches. Marketplaces will be able to deliver goods through the Russian Post, and post offices will perform the function of a customs checkpoint," the message says.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance published a draft law on measures to support Russian Post on the portal of draft regulations.

In December 2024, the head of the Ministry of Finance, Maksut Shadaev, said that the authorities intend to provide the Russian Post with a number of exclusive monopolistic advantages, and draft laws are planned to be submitted to the State Duma before the end of the spring session.
