OREANDA-NEWS  The new types of missiles "Burevestnik", "Sarmat" and "Poseidon" are unique complexes that are "ahead of their time". This was stated by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, the creation of new strategic weapons requires fundamental engineering solutions. He noted that the Russian Federation has the necessary scientific and production base for this.

"Of course, a lot of data about it is closed, but the results are visible to everyone. The latest types of strategic weapons such as the Burevestnik, Sarmat and Poseidon are vivid proof of this. These are unique complexes that are ahead of time and guarantee the absolute security of our country for decades to come," Medvedev said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country was completing the creation of the Poseidon torpedo and the Burevestnik cruise missile. "Work on two complexes with small nuclear propulsion systems is at the final stage," he said.
