OREANDA-NEWS Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Head of the Security Council, at a meeting of the Security Council's interdepartmental commission on state migration policy, proposed discussing the topic of countering the formation of ethnic enclaves in Russia.

"We will discuss countering the formation of ethnic enclaves in Russia. This topic is resonant, there is a lot of talk and writing about it," he said.

According to him, the issue "certainly requires special attention."

"The compact residence of foreigners usually in any country, by the way, not only in ours, does not contribute to their adaptation, and, accordingly, does not contribute to the proper application of Russian laws and proper law-abiding behavior," Medvedev said.
