OREANDA-NEWS  The taxation and customs duties regime for Russian companies participating in the Russian Industrial Zone (RPZ) in Egypt is unique, it is fixed in an intergovernmental agreement and is not subject to change for 49 years - a plot of land has been leased for the zone for this period, said Roman Chekushov, Deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

On Monday and Tuesday, a Russian delegation of businessmen and representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, led by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, paid a visit to the site of the Russian industrial zone in Egypt.

"During the current year, we have agreed with the Egyptian side on absolutely all the conditions for the location of production facilities in Egypt. The zone will be located in the city of Ain Sokhna, this is the Suez Bay of the Red Sea, the southern part of the Suez Canal. Excellent logistical location," Chekushov told reporters after the visit.
