OREANDA-NEWS The large-scale modernization of the Russian electric grid is continuing, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with Andrey Ryumin, CEO of ROSSETI.
"You have more than 250,000 employees, and they provide almost round-the-clock operation of more than two million kilometers of networks and hundreds of thousands of substations. A large-scale reorganization and modernization of the country's grid economy are continuing," Mishustin said.
The Russian energy system, he recalled, is one of the largest in the world. The prime minister called the distribution and transmission of electricity to consumers the most important task for such a huge country as Russia. First of all, this is due to the long distances and the difference in climatic conditions, said the head of the Cabinet.
