More than 60 percent of Russians are ready to provide the bank with more data

OREANDA-NEWS More than 60% of Russians are ready to provide the bank with additional information about themselves if it helps protect their funds, according to the study "I will choose", which is at the disposal of RIA Novosti.
"Thus, 62% of the respondents are ready to allow the bank to use additional information about themselves if it is directly related to money protection," the study says.
It is noted that the most acceptable type of additional data for Russians to provide to the bank was information about the device from which the operation is performed. 29% of the respondents are ready to provide it to the bank.
Another 24% agree to the use of geolocation during a suspicious transaction, 18% are ready to allow the analysis of the client's usual location, 16% do not object to the analysis of the time and frequency of operations. Another 13% agree to provide the bank with information about their typical ways of using the application.
"At the same time, 34% are not ready to allow the bank access to the contents of correspondence, 27% oppose the analysis of the contact list, 21% do not want to share data on visited websites and applications, and 18% consider the use of biometric data for anti-fraud checks unacceptable," the materials specify.
Russians are also willing to put up with additional checks as long as they don't become a permanent obstacle to routine operations. Thus, 44% of the respondents consider it acceptable to provide additional proof of identity for an atypical transfer. Another 29% are ready to undergo additional verification when transferring a large amount.
And 17% agree to enhanced verification only during an operation with a new recipient, the remaining 10% prefer not to face additional procedures, even for the sake of safety.
