OREANDA-NEWS  Against the background of the ongoing processes of deglobalization in the world, interest in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is growing, it is becoming economically attractive, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

"The processes that are taking place today, deglobalization, will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of interest in the EAEU. Because, once again, today the EAEU is about 190 million people, the union itself, plus another 85 million are Iran, about 100-110 million are Vietnam, there are in Serbia, even though it is a small country," Overchuk said.

Currently, the EAEU has agreements on free trade zones with Iran, Vietnam and Serbia.

"We are negotiating with a number of other countries that will expand our market opportunities and our export opportunities. The Union is really becoming economically very attractive," Overchuk added.
He noted that in 2025, the EEC expects to conclude free trade area agreements with two more countries.
