OREANDA-NEWS.The spokesman of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia, Koka Katsitadze, said that the riots at the protest actions outside the parliament building in Tbilisi are a part of a plan to seize power. Testimony of witnesses, investigative measures, and other evidence suggests that on the night of June 21 some individuals planned to forcibly seize state power by means of insurrection. 

At the same time, the case of an attempt to storm the parliament was retrained into the case of an attempted coup d'état. Actions to seize power were to begin with the storming of the parliament building. The investigation will be conducted on articles about the organization of mass riots, as well as conspiracy or insurrection in order to forcefully change the constitutional order.
