According to his decree residents of most European countries and Brazil can again enter the country. The president signed this decree on Monday, January 18. Those, who entering the United States, must provide a negative test for COVID-19. According to the decree, the new rules should come into force on January 26.

However, the Joe Biden administration does not intend to remove the restrictions. This was stated by the press secretary of the new US President Joe Biden Jen Psaki. On the contrary, it is planned to strengthen measures against international travel to contain the spread of COVID-19, Psaki stressed. She said the decision was based on the health team's recommendations.

The restrictions on the state border from the Schengen area, Great Britain, Ireland, Brazil, China and Iran was introduced due to the rapid deterioration of the epidemiological situation in March 2020. The United States is the world leader in the number of detected cases of coronavirus infection. On the morning of Tuesday, January 19, 24.6 million cases of the disease were recorded in the country.
