Prices for "secondary" in Russia will change

OREANDA-NEWS New buildings today have almost no demand from customers, but "second—hand" housing is the opposite. Against this background, prices for "secondary" have gone up again, said Irina Radchenko, Vice President of the Mortgage and Real Estate Academy, NSN.
According to her, by lowering the key interest rate, Russians will increasingly take out mortgage loans and invest in second homes. Meanwhile, new buildings should not expect an increase in demand — prices in this segment, on the contrary, have slowed down growth.
Radchenko pointed out that on average they are getting more expensive by 0.45-0.48 percent, including in May-June 2026, but no more. If we take a substantive look at the increase in the cost of primary market facilities, then, for example, in Moscow the figure was 4.9 percent, and in the Moscow region — 5.7 percent. In this regard, there is nothing strange on the market, the specialist noted.
