Putin calls Russia Armenia's main trading partner

OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin called Russia Armenia's main trade and economic partner, noting that since the beginning of 2026, the trade turnover between the two countries has amounted to 2.5 billion dollars.
The Russian leader flew to Kyrgyzstan the day before for the SCO summit. On Tuesday, Putin held talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"Russia is the republic's main trade and economic partner, with a share of about 30% of investors in the Armenian economy. In the first half of this year, the trade turnover amounted to two and a half billion dollars," Putin said during the meeting.
