OREANDA-NEWS  Attacks by Ukrainian forces on tankers involved in the transportation of Russian oil are being carried out, among other things, to increase insurance. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on a direct line. 

The head of state promised that the attacks would not lead to a result and would not disrupt supplies. He also assured that Russia would respond to these incidents.

Putin stressed that anything that causes "damage to civilian infrastructure, non-combatants, and people who are not involved in combat operations" deserves the sharpest condemnation.

Earlier, during a direct line, the Russian leader, responding to a question from an NBC journalist, noted that Russia was not responsible for the deaths of people in the Ukrainian conflict.

Ukraine began operations against tankers related to the transportation of Russian oil in late November. The latest of them at the moment was the attack on the Qendil vessel in the Mediterranean Sea. The tanker, which was severely damaged, was empty at the time of the attack.
