OREANDA-NEWS The court recovered about 552 million rubles from the ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal, at the request of the British fuel corporation Global Metcorp Ltd (Global Metrocop Limited). This is reported by Kommersant.

Global Metcorp Ltd was recognized as a victim and filed a lawsuit, which was satisfied by the Babushkinsky Court of Moscow. It is specified that the company transferred money for the metal that was supposed to be supplied by the Amurstal plant, but it never received the products.

Furgal will pay the recovered amount together with three other defendants in the case — Nikolai Shukhov, Galina Aleynikova and Dmitry Kozlov.

Earlier it was reported that Furgal was sentenced in the second criminal case, and in total he was sentenced to 25 years in a penal colony.
