OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian side came to the aid of NASA because of the problems in Houston. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the data, NASA had problems with the power supply at the Mission Control Center (MCC) in Houston, which caused the American side to lose contact with the International Space Station (ISS). Referring to the American Space Agency, RIA Novosti writes that at that time NASA was communicating with the near-Earth laboratory through Russian partners.

"We lost the ability to exercise command, including voice communication and receiving telemetry data, the problem was not at the station, it happened completely on Earth," a NASA spokesman said.

According to him, the communication problems lasted about 20 minutes.

According to the American Space Agency, the incident did not affect the condition of the ISS and the crew.

Earlier, SpaceNews wrote that NASA should continue work on the Fission Surface Power (FSP) nuclear reactor program, created for the late Artemis lunar missions.
