OREANDA-NEWS The Russian government has approved long-term plans for the integrated socio-economic development of 16 Far Eastern cities until 2030.

"Renovation of the housing stock, construction of social facilities, landscaping, modernization of transport and communal infrastructure, development of resort areas - such measures are provided for in long-term plans for integrated socio-economic development (master plans) of 16 cities located in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. The order on their approval was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin," the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Master plans have been prepared for Anadyr, Arsenievsk, Birobidzhan, Blagoveshchensk, Belogorsk, Bolshoy Kamen, Vladivostok, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Krasnokamensk, Neryungri, Nakhodka, Magadan, Ussuriysk, Svobodny, Khabarovsk and Yakutsk.

In Magadan, in 2024, it is planned to complete the construction of a regional maternity hospital with 80 beds with a women's consultation and a day hospital for 10 places. In Vladivostok - on Russian Island - in 2025-2026, it is planned to build a tennis academy. In Yakutsk, the construction of the Mammoth World Center is planned for 2025-2029. The Blagoveshchensk development plan for 2025 provides for the completion of work on the construction of a cross-border cable car through the Amur River. It will connect the Russian city with the Chinese Heihe.

In total, the comprehensive development plans for Far Eastern cities include 743 events. The total amount of financing is 3.5 trillion rubles. Of these, 1.2 trillion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget, another 400 billion rubles will be allocated from the consolidated budgets of the regions, and the largest part - 1.9 trillion rubles - will come from extra-budgetary sources.

In July 2023, the government approved similar development plans for Chita, Ulan-Ude, Severobaikalsk, Tynda and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

On behalf of the President, master plans are being developed for 25 Far Eastern cities with the participation of the government, regional authorities and the business community. Taking into account the signed order, plans for 21 cities have been approved to date.
