OREANDA-NEWS   Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow had handed over to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) a list of Russian journalists who have died since the beginning of 2022. This is reported by TASS.

It is reported that the minister transmitted the information about this to OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu. Lavrov attached to it a letter from Vladimir Solovyov, Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia (UJR), dedicated to this topic.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the international system for protecting journalists was no longer working. She noted that it had stopped functioning not by itself, but because of appropriate actions.

Prior to that, Zakharova accused Kiev of hunting Russian journalists. She noted that the press staff is involved in the battles on the information front, defending the truth.
