OREANDA-NEWS Moscow is considering retaliatory steps to the expulsion of the Russian diplomat from Estonia. This was stated by Alexey Fadeev, Deputy director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, TASS reports.

"As for retaliatory steps, they are usually worked out for some time and then made public. Therefore, we will provide timely comments on what measures we will take against Estonian diplomats," the diplomat said.

He added that this was not the first time Estonia had committed such hostile acts, and Moscow was "even used to it."

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia announced the expulsion of a Russian diplomat from the country. The first secretary of the staff of the Russian Embassy in Estonia has been declared persona non grata, and he must leave the republic.
