OREANDA-NEWS The Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern will show in Egypt models of the Viking medium-range anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) capable of destroying inconspicuous aircraft, which include, for example, the F-22 and F-35. This was reported by TASS with reference to a Russian company.

The concern noted that for the first time outside of Russia, it is planned to demonstrate a model of the 9A383E launcher, which allows to increase the range of hitting air targets to 120 kilometers.
 
In February, Fanil Ziyatdinov, General Director of the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol, said that the complexes of the Tor family had become interspecific systems that perform tasks in various conditions.

In November 2024, Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy General Director of Almaz-Antey East Kazakhstan Region, noted that the Vityaz and Viking medium-range air defense systems had become interested at the Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai (China).
