Russian delegation arrives for talks with the United States

OREANDA-NEWS The Russian delegation arrived at the residence of the American Consul General in Istanbul to hold talks with representatives of the United States. This is reported by TASS.
"Russian representatives have arrived at the residence of the U.S. Consul General in Istanbul, where the two countries will meet on the work of embassies. The talks will be held in a format closed to the press. The composition of the delegations was not disclosed," the agency reports.
Earlier, the US Embassy in Turkey said that the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, political and security issues would not be discussed at the Russian-American talks. Instead, the meeting will focus on the problems of the embassies' work.
On February 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin clarified that the talks between the Russian and American delegations would focus on issues of bilateral relations. He stressed that the countries need to increase mutual trust.
