OREANDA-NEWS Technology for anti-icing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was created in Russia. This is reported by the newspaper Izvestia.
In order for the UAVs to stop being covered with ice, the Russian developers proposed using a heating electrically conductive polymer thread.
"The thread is used not only in drones and in de—icing systems for them, it also allows you to create antistatic materials for the interiors of modern Russian passenger liners, increasing safety and comfort," said Pavel Pogrebnyakov, CEO of the Ampertex development company.
