Alushta has become the most popular holiday destination among small towns, accounting for 32 percent of all bookings. Sudak came in second place with 22 percent, and the municipality of Alupka became the third most popular with seven percent.

The list also includes Zelenogorsk, Svetlogorsk, Pionersky in the Kaliningrad region, another resort on the Crimean peninsula, Saki, Sortavala in Karelia, Zheleznovodsk and Goryachy Klyuch.

Earlier, the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Krasnodar Territory was named the most economical holiday resort. The average cost of a night here is 2206 rubles.
