Search for missing Mi-8T helicopter in Khabarovsk Region suspended due to bad weather

OREANDA-NEWS The search for the Mi-8T helicopter of the agroindustrial complex "Vzlet", which disappeared on Monday in the Khabarovsk Territory, has been suspended due to adverse weather conditions. This was announced by the official representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako in his telegram channel.
"There are unfavorable weather conditions in the area of the possible location of the car that disappeared yesterday. The Mi-8T helicopter of the Dalnerechensk Avia airline returned to the Okhotsk airport on duty. The Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations was also forced to return to its Magadan (Sokol) airport," the report says.
It is noted that the search area in the north-east of the Khabarovsk Territory is characterized by a mountainous landscape. Rosaviation specialists coordinate search and rescue operations.
Earlier it was reported that rescuers examined more than 800 square kilometers of taiga terrain and 85 km of the coastline of the Sea of Okhotsk in search of a missing helicopter in the Khabarovsk Territory. At the moment, no traces have been found.
The Mi-8T helicopter of the agroindustrial complex "Vzlet" disappeared while flying on the route Chumikan - Okhotsk - Magadan; at the appointed time, the crew did not contact, the emergency radio beacon did not work. According to preliminary data, three crew members and two technical specialists are on board the missing helicopter.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of an aircraft, resulting in the death of two or more persons). The helicopter was returning to Magadan to its permanent location after repairs.
APK Vzlet LLC is an air cargo carrier that transports various cargoes using helicopters in hard-to-reach and remote areas of the Far North.
